An 8 week deep dive into your relationship with food

Chew the Fat is a group program which aims to deepen your understanding of your relationship with food, eating and your body while building community. Over 8 weeks, we’ll explore our combined lived experience, sharing stories, support, perspective and the space to have conversations and learn about the role of food in our lives. We’ll reflect on our histories, taking the time to examine the role of life events, social ideals and power structures on our experiences with food, eating and body; and work together to empower one another in reconnecting with ourselves, our bodies and our communities through food.

Included in your ticket price is all 8 group sessions plus a complementary 30 minute 1:1 session for individualised support. Any missed sessions can’t be refunded after purchasing, so make sure you can attend all of them. Equity pricing is available for those who need it, just ask!

This program works to destigmatise experiences of food and bodies using an anti-oppressive, trauma informed and body liberation approach. It is suitable for all bodies and identities, however if you have an active eating disorder or a history of trauma please get in touch prior to booking so we can make sure this group is a good fit for you.
